Govt Purchase Card Fraud

If you do not have a government credit card - please disregard this message.

For those of you with govt credit cards, I wanted to make you aware that one of our employees recently had their credit card number used by an unknown party for unauthorized credit card charges.

Luckily, JPMorgan sent an email to the employee questioning a purchase.  When the employee contacted JPMorgan by phone, she was told that someone tried to make (3) unauthorized charges to her card and luckily none of them were processed.

Please pay attention to any emails you receive from JPMorgan - my tendency is to ignore these types of emails, assuming they are phishing scams, but the one received by our employee was legitimate and she was able to confirm the purchases were not hers.

However, if you receive an email claiming to be from JPMorgan (or any bank or credit card) - do not respond by email or to the phone number they provide.  Call the number on the back of your credit card and speak to a representative.

Please keep me informed if this happens to you.  BTW, this will be the 3rd person at our park who has had their purchase card compromised in the last 2 years (not good odds)!

Rhonda
